Latinitas 1.2 Adds Tap-to-Hear Ecclesiastical Pronunciation

Learners can now hear Church Latin spoken, word by word, throughout the app

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 30, 2026) Foxxception LLC today released Latinitas 1.2, an update to its Latin-through-prayer learning app that lets learners hear exactly how each word is pronounced.

Reading a prayer and praying it aloud are two different skills. Latinitas 1.2 adds audio throughout the app, recorded in the Ecclesiastical pronunciation used in the Church's liturgy.

What's new in Latinitas 1.2

  • Tap-to-hear audio for nearly 800 Latin words and every prayer in the app.
  • Tappable Latin words in Daily Lectio, so any word can be heard and looked up in context.

"Hearing the words is what makes the prayers stick," said Jeremy Foxx, founder of Foxxception. "Now you can tap any word and hear it, so you're ready to pray it aloud at Mass."

Availability

Latinitas 1.2 is available now as a free update on the App Store.
